The plan
The libraries I am planning to visit are in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Napier, Poriria (near Wellington), Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill. Nine sleeps to go...I leave early on Wednesday 15th.
I'm interested in hearing about any examples of 'learning commons' and 'virtual commons'. eg http://w2.vu.edu.au/library/LearningCommons/ and https://www.umanitoba.ca/virtuallearningcommons/ http://www.umanitoba.ca/learning_technologies/projects/vlc/
I'm interested in how a 'library' can connect learners (teachers and students) with each other, learning environments, campuses and the world - apart from through a desktop/laptop computer screen. eg large display screens, touch screens/walls/tables, mobiles/PDAs, augmented reality...
I'm interested in Creative Commons and collaborative links. Open courses and open course consortiums. eg http://www.ocwconsortium.org/
